I was trying to get a publishing deal about Kid the Worldsaver and he wrote this nasty thing about how those kind of games stink and are for babies... I'm not his number one fan.

I read a jenova article about how *games like what I was making* were utter garbage, and he's free to be a jerk because there are a lot of jerks out there in the entertainment world and why not be who you are... but I'm calling him on it!

But i tend to have a bias about devs who make some moderately successful game and then go around farting about the deep artistry of themselves... mostly because i want to do that and know i will never get to.

But really it comes down to the idea that he thinks he's so much better than everyone and the only reason he made it was because USC set him up with a cushy deal

Generally he says "emotions make the best games and my games are the most emotional so my games are the best" which is asinine and unpleasant

1) one interview he said that he could get the player to stab themself over and over if it made the game's music and graphics prettier
2) He always lists his own games as the "best ever"
3) he wrote an article about how games where you play with blocks are for babies and not emotional enough
