Joel Embiid draws two and finds VJ Edgecombe for a corner three:
not really a sports guy, sorry!
Ranger simply has the biggest balls in Philadelphia sports history and a serious organization & a serious city would refuse to let him play anywhere else. He is also my biological son.
Lowest career postseason ERAs in MLB history (min 40 innings)

Alyssa Thomas is so perfectly cast as Underappreciated Star Who Never Gets A Ring but I need her to break through and get her title. Such an easy player to root for, she’s like if you gave a tank arms & legs and told it to shoot a basketball. That is exactly how an armored tank would shoot.
I respect this. But our podcast is a punishment for their poor play.
Daryl & Elton gifting Grimes a pretty epic t-shirt they bought at the Abu Dhabi airport and a Hallmark card that they wrote “sorry for squeezing you so hard your eyes burst out of your skull” 👍
well at least they’ve already started formulating plans to make Grimes feel valued once they return from their sportswashing trip to the UAE, I feel deeply relieved
Reported over the weekend that the Sixers had already started formulating plans to make Quentin Grimes feel that the team still values him. That process has included high-ranking officials within the organization. When they get back from Abu Dhabi, it should be a top priority.
Qualifying Offer it is. Sixers choking any good vibe out of the season before it starts. Organizationally QWOP Guy
Restricted free agent Quentin Grimes is signing a one-year, $8.7 million qualifying offer to return to the Philadelphia 76ers, agent David Bauman told ESPN. Grimes will now hold an inherent no-trade clause and enter a more flush market in unrestricted free agency next summer.

The smear campaign the owners are about to hit the players with over this WNBA lockout will be legendary, but I don't think many people are stupid enough to fall for it at this point

I used to run the Civil Rights department of the North American labor movement and I can tell you that this is one of the best public statements I’ve heard/seen from a labor leader about their working conditions in the midst of negotiations. Well done Phee! 👏🏾👏🏾 #wnba
Napheesa Collier's full statement at the beginning of her exit interview.

She directly quotes conversations with Cathy Englebert that legitimately call into question how the WNBA is being led. (Part 1/2) #WNBASky

just saw it at the Vista. incredible
disagree that there’s no scenario, but absolutely the tax is a factor, as well as the second apron. my number is just higher than the Sixers number is, where i’d be less comfortable letting him play bitter on the QO than they seem to be
if Ranger’s groin is hurt, all our groins are hurt
a promising young guy is injured, they're being vague about Embiid, and a contract negotiation has gotten ugly -- you know what that means! August Two is over and the Halloween Sixers are about to haunt the next 6 months of your life.

losing Yabu for nothing because you’re saving up for Grimes then negging Grimes into a spite year until he also walks for nothing. all for the love of the game!
4/39 is extremely low and it's reasonable that Grimes would prefer an 8.7m QO then testing UFA instead of signing. But 25m/year would have the Sixers up to their ass in aprons, so no. 4/60-65 makes a preposterous amount of sense for both parties and I formally demand everyone involved to grow up
Here’s the latest I’m hearing on the Quentin Grimes ~situation~. Agent David Bauman told me the Sixers’ formal offer was for four years and $39 million, and he still believes Grimes should command $20-25 annually.

So, yeah, far apart. Some sort of one-year deal seems most likely, at the moment.

Quentin Grimes will not attend the 76ers’ media day on Friday or travel with the team to Abu Dhabi for two preseason games next week, his agent, David A. Bauman, confirmed to The Inquirer on Thursday.

Philadelphia 76ers guard Jared McCain suffered a UCL tear in his right thumb during a workout today, sources told ESPN. He and the team are working with specialists to decide how they will proceed, sources said.
