Sometimes, though, we need help. That's where respiratory therapists come in.

During #RespiratoryTherapyWeek, we're giving a shout out to RTs who help ensure our airways are functioning well, one inhale & exhale at a time.

✅ On October 20, 2025, members of Beacon Hill Lodge ratified a new 4-year collective agreement.

Highlights include:

- General wage increases
- Market adjustment & other significant wage adjustments
- New long service steps
- Addition of Orange Shirt Day (National Day for Truth and Reconciliation)

“We were very optimistic that this would be the outcome, and we’re just hopeful that the arbitration outcome is implemented quickly so our workers can get those increases that they’ve fought hard for,” said Manitoba Government and General Employees’ Union president Kyle Ross.

Today, members at Métis CFS Authority ratified a new 3-year collective agreement.

Highlights of the agreement include:

- General wage increases in each year of the agreement
- One-time retention & signing bonuses
- Several language improvements were made to align with practices & provide clarity
