The administration has been on a Foreign Terrorist Organization designation spree. But most of the groups it has targeted have not been what we'd traditionally consider "terrorists".

Whether the Russians or Americans wrote it, the peace plan Trump and Witkoff presented this week is a demand for Ukraine’s surrender. Clarifying @joshuakeating.bsky.social piece on its terms and the biggest questions about it that remain: www.vox.com/politics/469...
Trump’s peace plan is a demand for Ukraine’s surrender

The Khashoggi comments, as gross as they were, echoed what Trump has long said about the journalist's murder. MBS is Trump’s boy, as he’s always been. But the lovefest isn't absolute. It has its limits. New @joshuakeating.bsky.social: www.vox.com/politics/469...

I was skeptical of this when Ian pitched it but came out convinced that it’s at least worth considering, especially the danger to victims and witnesses who spoke to DOJ about the horrors of their lives, and may now face of retribution from some of the most powerful people in the world.

New @imillhiser.bsky.social: The Trump DOJ was so ham-fisted in commanding Texas to racially gerrymander that it may have accidentally forced the courts into preventing Republicans from gaining 5 House seats next year. www.vox.com/politics/469...

“Ride Wit Me” is the answer, but all the Country Grammar singles are so indelible/crucial to all party/dance memories from that era that there's really no wrong answer from the Country Grammar era.

The votes to end the shutdown reflect the divide among Dems that @zackbeauchamp.bsky.social pointed out at the beginning: Rather than left vs. moderate, the party's direction is being fought over by a “team normal” faction and a “team abnormal” one. www.vox.com/on-the-right...

If the justices hew to the legal views they expressed in the Biden era, they must strike down the tariffs. But if they want to show loyalty to their party’s leader, they’ll need to write an opinion that cannot be squared with their Biden-era decisions. www.vox.com/politics/466...
The tariffs case is Trump’s ultimate loyalty test for the Supreme Court
If the Republican justices apply the same rules to Trump that they did to Biden, Trump’s tariffs must fall.
