Maybe no one agrees with me, but I think Trump's medical issues will end within 1 year, maybe less. Unless, of course, Vance pushes him down the stairs first.

One thing about ATC beginning to crack, if shutdown continue for another couple of weeks, air travel might begin to halt, and sports on TV will vanish as no one can go anywhere. I can't imagine Victor Wembanyama riding a bus across the US.

Most Americans are either ignorant about what is happening to the country, or don't care. More than all the horrific things Trump et al is doing, what disturbs me most, is that so many Americans seemingly don't give a shit. 7-8 million in a protest is nice, but it should be 20-30 million.

If ATC walks out (they are not being paid), the shutdown will end quickly. No air traffic = total economy shutdown. Even a stupid congress person understands this. I believe this happened before (ATC in DC area walked out leaving Congress stuck).

I think most Americans are clueless about how bad this can get. Many think it's just politics, and will blow over, and they can safely ignore everything. They are wrong. It can and will likely get much worse, and even out of control. Our existence as Americans is on a knife's edge.

The odds of a military coup in this country just went up from 0% to something much, much higher. There will be a line that Tramp et al will not be permitted to cross. What happens afterwards I have no idea. No country this large, this powerful and this rich has ever had a military coup.

People out there who pay no attention, or only watch Fox, have no idea that people losing healthcare means the ER will be overflowing, and they will not get any care in time, even if they have insurance.

Does anyone else find it strange that Kirk's widow went directly from watching her husband be shot to running his organization? Shouldn't people grieve first? I'm sure he had mentioned he wanted her to take over, but it still seems an odd thing to do right away.
