Power for its own sake, and no courage – Labor loses its way
Having tasted long-term power, this Labor Party seems guided only by the possession of power as an end to itself.

Penny Wong accidentally saying the quiet bit out loud - for Labor the US relationship is more important than the Australian environment. Who do this lot think they work for?

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

The ALP didn't bother negotiating with the Libs when it changed IR laws, but now apparently it needs LNP support for environmental protection changes.

When govts want to do something, they do it.
When they don't, they use bipartisanship as the excuse.

No one here should fall for it

The Duopoly has led us to this point - an alignment with Amerika based on no shared values and has stripped Australia of it's ability to manage or create its own Defence, Foreign or Minerals policies.

The duopoly has betrayed us - so where to from here?

I’m wrong!

It’s actually $368b of our public money.

Close to a double betrayal then #auspol
Hang on…

The Albanese Labor Govt is saying that elderly Australians have to pay more for basic at home care - as spending needs to be reigned in.

But - they give over $200b of our public money to the US & UK for submarines we’ll never see.

What a betrayal #auspol

Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.

The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.
