I wasn't enjoying stranger things s5 until episode 4. S5 has been stilted and weird. Some character moments I like, but it's retreading old ground without offering any new engaging mystery/horror to latch onto. But episode 4? Felt like the show again.

there's been a lot of arguing about whether or not Elphaba's ending is a happy one or a tragic one, and like...idk why it's not commonly accepted that it's BOTH. Her ending is bittersweet.

I still prefer the obc recording of pretty much every song except for dancing through life and possibly one short day, and I say this with pain because I adore Norbert's voice, but the movie vers of dancing through life has SO much personality

Actually I do wanna give some kudos to how the movie portrays Nessa. I wish her vocal performance was better, but characterization was perfect. Nessa never wanting help and always having it now wanting help but not having it. Her yearning for a feeling that's long gone. Her lacking control over that

every time I watch wicked I notice something new. I watched an OBC bootleg and realized that the framing of Wonderful is slightly different than in the movie, but the difference is an important one. I think I prefer it in the stage play? It's hard to say. But the key difference is as follows:

so I am a writer of some old (years and years before the movie) fiyeraba fanfics on ao3, as well as the artist behind some really really bad fiyeraba art that got shared around. It is my goal to make actual good fiyeraba content now to counter the absolute drought of art...just gotta put in the time

I DO have mixed feelings about lucifer being unable to harm sinners (feels too much like a plot convenience atm) but I think the concept is interesting - Lucifer can't erase the sin he brought into the world. He has to live with it forever. He can't kill it, can't erase it, can't hurt it.

The idea that all the characters got hit with the stupid stick this season so that Vox could win...hard disagree. Characters are making dumb decisions, yes, but perfectly in-character decisions (and Vox is making clearly dumb decisions too).
