Federal appellate courts have upheld a right to record the police...In 2022, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit held in Irizarry v. Yehia that filming the police...as they perform their official duties acts as ‘a watchdog of government activity’ and is a constitutional right.

Unfortunately (?) decomposition starts immediately after death. True resurrection is not possible.

Here is Abraham Lincoln looking on approvingly as a whole bunch of us towards the Van Buren Street pedestrian bridge over to Michigan Avenue.

I, and many thousands of others, did not start the match by walking down Jackson. This is huge and it is definitely not the entire crowd!
An astonishingly large crowd!

Organizers have reported 7 million attendees at the No Kings events and we’re happy to confirm 7 million and counting! More events are still happening across the country today, so we’ll need additional time to fully certify the final numbers.

Hi, I'm the ProPublica reporter who's been tracking an unusual stat: U.S. citizens grabbed by immigration agents.

I did it because the government isn’t.

This is what I found.
I'm almost totally ignorant about public opinion polls and am not finding what I'm looking for via Google. Are there recent polls regarding the city's opinion of Mayor Johnson?

It costs ~$70 to produce a year’s supply of insulin.

Yet, the average annual cost of insulin went from $2,864 in 2012 to $5,705 in 2016 to $18,000 in 2025. A 25,714% markup. That isn’t inflation or supply chain—It’s corporate greed.

Now—California will sell insulin for $11. Make this nationwide!

Pritzker: "Stephen Miller is clearly ordering people to break the law. So he should know that yeah, it may be three years from now that he is held accountable, but I think it's important for them to know that whatever they do now, it's not like we're going to forget."

Thanks to everyone for always keeping those cameras rolling and sharing the videos online. Federal immigration officers in the Chicago area will now be required to wear body cameras, following a ruling by U.S. District Judge Sara Ellis.

Most "classics" are boring as fuck to a modern reader in no small part because the context of the story is not understood by them and so many of the allusions and "inside jokes" known to then-contemporary readers have been lost in time and in translation
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat
