I know that the pipeline to release a fighting game character is a long one, but it is hilarious how much of a disappointment it is that they announced Caitlyn for 2XKO. Just... I was going to start playing again and now I'm even second guessing that.

I played an hour or so of Pokemon ZA mega dimensions last night and... The writing feels like a filler arc.
Everyone just accepts acting out of character, the ridiculous is normal, the animation is inconsistent, and no one asks clarifying questions.

I understand digital card game video makers need to always find the next way to pull in viewers but I'll be honest... I have no idea what a progression series is, I don't want to know, and I'm never clicking on one.

Did some system playtesting on Sunday for my homebrew TTRPG and... well it went okay. Everything wasn't as prepared as I wanted, but the system held up okay.
It was just a battle prep phase, since the fighting is at battlefield sim scale. They got to do training and recruiting before the fight.

I was doing my after-session notes (we did Cosmere RPG today) and I had a paragraph for each player, except one. They had one sentence. Oops.

Listening to Diary of a Man in Despair, a Journal by Friedrich Reck-Malleczewen, who lived in Hitler's Germany. It is an interesting book because this man was using his Journal to rip into anyone and everyone from 1930-1944. It isn't by some resistance fighter, he was a German elite who hated Hitler

My main anxiety isn't that we will fall into a full fascism ethnostate purge situation.
It is that they (politicians?) will skirt the line, and everything will be this terrible forever. Not bad enough that we see full chaos, bad enough that I feel insane and people are constantly being hurt.

A fun short video essay on a topic I've never thought about. Yeah I do often realize that I've forgotten a mechanic, or can't focus on it, because I've got too much going on. Finding ways to remember, or shortcut them, or simplify them, will probably help me in the future.

On the one hand, I have told myself to stop going attack dog mode at all genAI.
On the other hand, Mr. Onion is right that there is a reason companies went after writing and art with their AI instead of say, curing disease.

Every American should have a homework assignment where they talk to non-americans about how healthcare works in their country vs America.

NES, the regular Nintendo as it were. My grandmother was huge into Mario 3, Bubble Bobble, Legendary Wings, and Dragon Warrior 3, and I learned from her. I got a Super Nintendo because me and my cousins were playing her console so much, she bought all of us SNES one Christmas so we had our own games

NES, the regular Nintendo as it were. My grandmother was huge into Mario 3, Bubble Bobble, Legendary Wings, and Dragon Warrior 3, and I learned from her. I got a Super Nintendo because me and my cousins were playing her console so much, she bought all of us SNES one Christmas so we had our own games

There is a clip of Arin from game grumps screaming about a boss using an 'Unavoidable Chin Move', and sometimes I realize this is too often me when I'm playing games like Shadowverse WB or Master Duel, and man I dislike that. I really do need to play more #fabtcg on Talishar.

We went and saw Predator Badlands tonight. It was a fun movie, and while I know a lot of people were hesitant about a movie from the PoV of a Predator, this was a blast. It had minimal 'fan-service escalation' (moments where they do the thing you recognize, but BIGGER!) and the plot functions.

I watched 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy', the film, and it reminded me how much I like a good mystery and some uncertainty.
So I started Slow Horses just to get hit with more Gary Oldman. They will have to chain that man up to get him to stop acting.
