How I became a #MutualAid snack stop for kids:

In late 2022, I was COVID-conscious (just like now) and put out snacks for Xmas for all of the delivery people. I noticed they were taking a LOT of stuff but I shut it down in January 2023. But in 2023, "somebody" started sneaking around....

My Disability Tax Credit application was renewed after about 3 months. So I'm all good for another 5 years!

I'm glad that it was approved even though my family doctor didn't fill it out properly. I'm still bitter because I had to pay 150$ for her to fill it out in 5 mins.

Seeing the youngest and the eldest snack kid was great, really. And seeing the eldest be in love with a kitten from a trash can was also amazing.

Also, baby T said "Thanks Misslissa" when I handed her snacks. So adorable

All I can add to the “we reject universal masking” discourse is that it’s not about masks. You aren’t rejecting universal masking, which never happened; you’re rejecting having to think about wearing a mask, and maybe feeling badly about thinking about masks. Can’t help you there.

They say that despite the news and complaints by others, SE and NE DC have federal agents just tearing people out of cars, off motorcycles, and off sidewalks.

They have DEA, FBI, not just ICE, policing food delivery and teens playing basketball. None of it is legal

The National Zoo Halloween event is being canceled for kids. This is probably one reason the snack kids' mom wanted to have the Halloween party in the first place. A lot of events that keep kids safe are canceled this year in DC

It was VERY hard to convince them before they moved that my cat would murder theirs or vice versa. I couldn't have a new one, even though they had the sweetest floppy cat. The 2 others were wild-acting lol and mostly raised by the boys lol

Technically they're not allowed animals but they have had them in the past A lot of people in Section 8 have them but you can't move in with them. They were rehomed to relatives and neighbors but the Cat Distribution System has decided it's already time for another one.

Waiting on An, the oldest snack kid (15!! I've known her 2 years now and she's becoming so lovely!) and the baby snack kiddo. (2.5 and fierce!) They're getting a ton of chips, cookies, sausages, mac and cheese, drinks, & pudding as well as a bunch of cat supplies
