Congratulations to KCMO public school students on the passage of a landmark school bond measure tonight 84.9% to 15.1%…absolutely amazing. First KCMO school bond since 1967 to pass. In fact, roads, public safety, public schools & firefighting were all winners tonight in the KC metro area

My dad died the night before Thanksgiving. When I called Social Security on Monday, they had already been notified by the funeral home. SSA confirmed his payments had already been stopped. This all happened over the holiday weekend.
My brother died on 1/17 and his SS check was stopped before the February deposit.
All this business I am reading about social security is nonsense. My mom died on 2/18. My dad got a letter yesterday informing him her benefits were ending and he had to repay the February payment because they don’t give a payment in the month someone dies. They know where every dollar is.

Cannot emphasize how close this is to the heart of Hollywood. Evacuation zone from the 101 west to Laurel Canyon, Mulholland Drive south to Hollywood Blvd. and yet the traffic is at a standstill.

Fire season 2004 was the catalyst for our move back home to KC area. Keeping my LA friends in my prayers. The conditions appear to be the worst kind of perfect storm.

Giving thanks for the fact that my last conversation with my dad was me saying I love you & him telling me he was glad I’m his daughter. We lost him yesterday, will lay him to rest tomorrow.
