I found the best way to calm myself throughout was being unabashedly honest. getting into the intricate thought detail rather than providing the usual sanitised version.

There is def that fear of "what if they say no?" I found that if I just share all of my history it'll be harder for them to deny?

as for warnings, I think the main potential issue arises from who you'll actually see. If you know which doctor, look them up online and see if people have had good/bad experiences with them.

you'll usually have bring in someone who has known you for a period of time for an appointment.

plan with them what stories from your past you'll tell. It's always worth preparing. I worried my psych would think my preparedness would be a negative indicator, but they appreciated the effort.

this is all based on my personal experience, but emphasising issues in childhood def helped. I was lucky enough to have reported documentation about issues in school.

before your assessment, brainstorm memories from your childhood that display adhd, try and recall as many and write them down.

I'm sure it's been said, but this isn't about providing a safe space for adult content. This is entirely about getting the table set for advertisers and/or paypro's so bsky can monetise either through ads or a subscription service.

They do not give a single fuck about stopping abuse.

the islanders sequel, new shores has been an absolute delight. adored the first and this is just an improvement in basically every avenue. trying to think of anything to critique, but can't.

definitely worth picking up if you enjoy comfy games/city building/strategy/serotonin secretions.
