“He is not unstoppable and you are not without power”

Remind yourself of this every day.

Especially on the bad days.
Buttigieg on Indiana: "The big part of how Trumpism works is to make you feel totally disempowered. To make him feel inevitable. And yet the clear takeaway from this is he is not unstoppable and you are not without power."

I spent two years in the Trump administration. During that time, I saw how the president handled national security decisions. One of my biggest takeaways was this:

He fantasized regularly about maiming & killing unarmed civilians. Actually.

Creating a military conflict with Venezuela gives this administration a legal "hook" to invoke the Alien Enemies Act. In other words, the foreign war is being manufactured in order to facilitate court deference for its domestic mass deportation policy. It's a Stephen Miller Special.

A member of Congress could literally bet on their own vote and profit 10x. A White House aide could bet on a tariff decision before it’s announced. Theres ZERO oversight. This isn’t innovation, it’s legalized insider trading on democracy itself. Ban Kalshi politics

The U.S. has quietly built the technical and operational capacity of a modern interior ministry, where capability now exceeds legal authority—and with political actors increasingly willing to ignore legal limits, the real danger lies in what the gov can do, not what it’s authorized to do. #holdfast

Swastikas not viewed as hate symbol. Today I looked at my dad & his brother’s WWII Naval records. Just minutes later, I see that this symbol, if worn by an American during 1941-1945 would have deemed that American a traitor to his country, is now ok. WTF?

U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify swastikas, nooses as hate symbols
The military service, which falls under the Department of Homeland Security, has drafted a new policy that classifies such items “potentially divisive.”

My dad and 2 of his 4 brothers served in WWII. They’re gone. Please keep working against the DT administration so that these service men and women, and their sacrifices were not in vain.

Happy Veterans Day to all who have served. 🇺🇸

This is good, and should actually make us feel better.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson temporarily blocked a ruling that required Trump to fully fund SNAP because she’s playing chess, not checkers. She sent it back to the lower courts for a reason. 👀
