A quick introduction for those who don't know me. I've been cosplaying for almost 23 years, do volunteer work, and am a co-host of the podcast the Cosplay Cafe. I'll try to share old costumes as well as new projects as they happen.
Every October, I do different wigs and makeup for every day I work. These are all the looks from this year. I am now on vacation, but I do have Halloween shenanigans coming up, so there will be more looks for the month. Also, I don't usually repeat a wig, but looks like I did this year on accident.
Forgot to share the video of the finished haunted house mural with the stars twinkling! For being completely freehand drawn with only a photo for reference, I'm not mad at it. I am a perfectionist that sees the flaws, but it's still pretty cool.

Is my accidental photo better than that recent Time Magazine cover of a certain piece of shit king wannabe?
The 92 one is classic. Yes, it had its flaws, but man I love that movie. And the costuming...I want to make so many of the outfits.
Praying to the cosplay gods...I usually use a dry cleaning bag to clean Captain Carter, but couldn't find the bag, so she's in a delicate wash cycle right now and I'm not freaking out at all...yes, I am. I'm 100% freaking out.
The ones who say they don't care literally post about her more than her fans.
Just have to paint the sky and add the lights as stars. The purple lights turn this from classic spooky Halloween vibes to neon fantasy Halloween vibes.

Y'all, I'm both happy and sad there isn't video of me as Captain Carter today trashing to Rob Zombie's Dragula.
Went blonde today since I'm working the midnight release of Taylor Swift's new album at work. We are the only Target in Memphis doing it.
It's October 1st, and you know what that means! A whole month of wigs at work to confused my co-workers! This is year six of the tradition. And we started Spooky Season with my Crowley wig, because demon! It needs re-styling, so it doesn't currently look like Crowley.
Been getting my creative spark going again. This is the newest addition to my outdoor Halloween decor. It's based on the old die-cuts we had as kids. It's 8'x8', and I hand drew it and now I'm painting it. Last night I was in my yard until 1:30 a.m.

My brother Brad and I loved that series. It was so good!
When it first came out, we carried it at Target. Of course the government wants to ban it. Takei is calling them out for doing the same shit that he lived through during WWII.
Well, I did it. I ordered Invisible Woman fabric. Let's see if it gets here and I get the motivation to make it in time for the Spooky Science Spectacular at the end of October. Will this be the costume that finally resets my cosplay spark?

The most important aspect of this Tylenol debacle, is that the President raped children.
She has been on my cosplay list for ages...one day...
My brother Brad bought our niece Lily a Cap shield pillow and said "she needs her Aunty Peggy to teach her how to use it." I said Aunt Peggy (Annie) is on it. His reply? "I knew I could count on you." We will raise this girl to be a Sentinel or Liberty. He also gave her Oliver a Mjolnir pillow.
Any time I have to come home from a con or Disney, I hate it. The real world sucks. I am suck a textbook Pisces when it comes to stuff like that. I need escapism.
She is absolutely stunning! I am always so in awe of your creations.
I got to teach Oliver how to give horses treats today. There were horses on the property where my older nephew Phillip got married today, so we went to see them. One of them was missing an eye. They were sweet and gentle with Oliver even if he dropped the treats every time they tried to take them.
Gail Simone is a queen, and very right.
Nothing has changed.

Transphobes are still trash.
Got to take my grandmother's 1940s hat for a spin today at a tea party for my nephew's fiance. I love a good vintage look.
This is what I've been saying all day. I don't wish death on anyone, but when you advocate for gun violence (because in the end, that's what he did), and your end is in gun violence...well, you basically allowed that to happen.
