Imo it would be FINE if Buttigieg said, "hey, some folks have fallen for anti-trans propaganda from the far right around sports, and we have an obligation to help them understand why that propaganda is hateful and false."

As Preet and Neal parried over university cancel culture, it helped me sharpen and clarify my thoughts on why Niall’s position that “cc is ruining universities” is the incorrect one.

On Threads I get some engagement. On Bluesky I get almost none.
People talk all the time on Threads about how it compares with BS.

In 2018 there was a big gov’t shutdown. A reporter went to check stats on how many gov’t employees were affected, so they went to the website that would give them the info. Turns out it was a gov’t site and wasn’t available bc of the shutdown.
I honestly don’t think Americans understand how much their day to day lives depend on federal civil servants and now is the time for professional commentators to write op-eds explaining
