Good journalism.👇👇👇 Crises cause fractures in the ranks. Even some CBP agents & CPD seem to show that here, urging restraint while Bovinos urges the use of gas. That the @chicago.suntimes.com is good here says something decent even about the state of US media. chicago.suntimes.com/public-safet...

This is one of the most important exposés published in WSJ in several years, and it derives from intercepts and analyses by foreign intelligence services studying the conduct of Trump and his inner team. It's first and foremost a wake up call to the people of the United States.
Make Money Not War: Trump’s Real Plan for Peace in Ukraine
The Kremlin pitched the White House on peace through business. To Europe’s dismay, the president and his envoy are on board.

‘Remigration’ is a term that comes out of the European far right. Its use by the DHS account is a sign of democratic and epistemic collapse

This is a really interesting article by Fenwick Mckelvey that dares to imagine a public option for AI, CanGPT. It'd build on the legacy & public media remit of the CBC & train on public knowledge & archives, including audio, visual & text archives of the CBC. Great stuff 1/

Clever politics, if it works out.
Mark Carney managed to trade a pipeline that will never get built for meaningful progress on industrial carbon pricing and electricity interties — both of which will get more wind and solar built.

Remember when people thought he wasn't good at politics? www.nationalobserver.com/2025/11/27/o...

Media fail.
People will die, and are currently dying, because RFK was granted one of the most powerful megaphones in the country. Two people who could have thrown barriers in front of his climb decided not to; there's a sex scandal here but it is not the biggest scandal.

PIAC has done terrific work advancing the public's interests in communication & broadcasting @ the CRTC for ~50 years (& energy, banking & transportation). The CRTC must do its part to ensure that its commitment to having public voices like PIAC in the room lives on, in this case & others like it.
In principle, the CRTC pays costs for groups that make public-interest cases in its hearings, so that business and industry isn't the only perspective it hears.

In practice, the CRTC can take so long to make those payments that the advocacy groups are dying out. thelogic.co/news/crtc-ad...
