🧵Here's a few of my unproduced scripts if anyone is looking or interested. The finished ones are all at least third drafts.
Titles, genres, loglines, etc.
If I'm feeling saucy, I might add some of my WIP scripts, but I'll mark those for clarity.
But goddammit, stop ruining my goddamn experience because seven episodes in, I find out the lead VA likes to send minors inappropriate texts, or the creator is physically/sexually abusive. Make the fucking show, be nice to your partners and have consensual contact with age appropriate people. Fuck!
I'm keeping this kind of vague so as not to ruin the experience for other tourists, but I'm guessing anime fans could probably be like "oh, he's talking about X, Y, or Z," and MAYBE!
Especially since the overwhelming amount of anime doesn't involve gross people, but how the hell would I know unless I look it up. Especially the older stuff.
I know film and tv. Problematic people there are pretty easy to keep track of. I don't know anime that well, and it's much harder.
And the conversation went into other shows with problematic people involved, and fuck, man, anime has a really surprising number of gross people involved. And now I just don't want to partake, because obviously I don't want to give even passive support to these creeps.
Like I had mentioned that I was finally getting around to watching the dub of an older anime to an acquaintance, and I was informed that I needed to switch to the sub immediately, because one of the English VAs was a huge sex pest.
So I mean of course, I wasn't going to watch the dub anymore.
But APPARENTLY over the years, a surprisingly large number of people involved in anime, both here and in Japan are completely unhinged, sex pests, or both. Which, as someone who doesn't know dick about these shows, really fucking sours the whole experience.
If it comes across my timeline and looks interesting, I'll give it a look. Past that, I'll look to see if there's more seasons than like, say, Hulu is showing, or maybe when the next season is supposed to come out.
Can people just stop being problematic? Be kind and respect boundaries. It's not hard. Because y'all are fucking me up.

I'm not an anime fan. I watch it, but I don't really follow it. I don't know who the VAs are, I don't even really know who many of the creators are.
I'm basically a tourist.
Hey, with a policy platform like that, they might push Bill Clinton over the finish line and beat Bob Dole!
i'm fine with a deeper focus on economic issues over social issues but man does plank 2 give the game away
In the middle of every other ongoing catastrophe, the universe couldn't resist piling on one more thing.

Car's dead. Needs a new EV battery. Dont have $1600+ to fix it.

I really need some work. I'd love to work on your film, but I'm at the point where I'd even clean your fucking garage.
I love the original Creepshow. Love it.

LOVE it.

But strangely, its biggest impact on me wasn't any of the narratives or effects or performances, or anything like that.

It's solely responsible for my complete obsession with unmotivated lighting.

Gel me, baby.
I love giving anything that comes across my path a chance, so now I'm going to give the Tubi original Match a watch.
If you don't think that UHF is one of the greatest American comedies, well then you and I can't be friends.
Holy shit that's Kevin Costner's wife from Field of Dreams.
I mean, if I saw this sign, my interpretation would be way different than intended. I'd "be prepared" to start looking for the first place that I could pick up some arepas and tequeños.

Goddamn do I love arepas. Luckily I'm in Miami and I can get them everywhere.
This is a statement from Michael Reagan, the elder failson. The one who got kicked out of school, dropped out of college, had ties to the mobster Joey Bananas, was charged with securities fraud, supports racial profiling, and has been a Trump grifter since the first administration.
The post from the Reagan Foundation is just complete gibberish.

The ad did not, in fact, misrepresent Reagan's views. But the idea that anyone needs the Reagan Foundation's goddamn permission to use the publicly broadcast official remarks of a former president and/or edit them for brevity is crazy
That's because if he wins the fucking primary, they're going to FLOOD everything with that lie about Nazis being left wing and use the Maine candidate having a Nazi tattoo as proof. Nominate him, and you drag down the ENTIRE 2026 election. Period.
And the fact that he seemingly doesn't understand how fucking bad this looks is proof enough that he doesn't belong in Congress.

And to the people defending him, don't you find it rather goddamn strange that Republicans have been awful damn quiet about him?
Jesus fucking Christ, it's not his posts. The specific posts Jacobin is referring to were great. Though some of his other posts were a little crypto-fashy.
It's because he's had a Nazi tattoo for years and was an Eric Prince employee.
Maybe he's sincere, but it's a BAD time to risk that he's not.
Establishment Democrats spent a full year complaining the Left forced them to be “woke.”

But then a left populist, Graham Platner, threatened to win in Maine, so they went right back to trying to cancel someone over old internet posts.

I have a store card that accumulates points that I typically save up all year and then use them to pay for Thanksgiving and Xmas dinners. I'm going to have to dip into them to cover groceries this week. We're also going to have to be lights out on Halloween, because we can't afford candy.
Still a week left in October and we've already eaten through our grocery budget. We're not buying more, and I shop sales and clip coupons. It's just that the cost of groceries have gone up so much in JUST THE LAST MONTH, that our usual monthly grocery bill has gone up by over $200.
I don't much care for Richmond's new makeup either.
IT: Welcome to Derry is disappointing. Moss and Roy are nowhere to be seen, nor are Erin and Orla.
So that's the closest thing I've ever had to a "nazi phase".
