Matt was a pillar of the horror community on Bsky and an absolutely magnificent person. Hug the ones you love, folks.
I'm very sad to share the news that our lovely @chaoticauthor.online has passed away. His ending was peaceful and surrounded with love but came far too quickly after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

I've known Matt for years. He was a warm, gentle, generous, all-weather friend. I miss him.

His widow, Cat, has invited friends to leave messages and donations in his memory to Macmillan, Matt's chosen charity. I've helped set up a memorial page so please feel free to share this to anyone who knew and loved him.

The parts of MST3K: TIME CHASERS during which they have Eddie as the human riffer are both independently hilarious in their own right *and* a masterful way to distract from the most boring parts of a truly awful movie.

Hey hey! Time for another #folklore and #weird #history deep dive in #NorthCarolina. This morning I'm going to tell you a rocking good story about one of the strangest group sightings/experiences I've had the pleasure of reading: airborne beings in "shining raiment" above Chimney Rock, NC. 1/n

But today I came up with a new solution. My solution is to say, Agent Cooper-style, "Diane. Wednesday November 26th. 9 am. The dog got his pill." I think adding the date should keep it from blurring into all the other pills given? Plus it's entertaining.

Tremendous joint pain today, but it isn't affecting typing so let's fire up a thread on #folklore and #weirdhistory here in #NorthCarolina. I was originally going to talk about a weird story from Chimney Rock, but I awoke with a burning desire to talk about Duncan McFarland, Werewolf Legislator. 1/n

My novel CHILDREN OF SOLITUDE is about a prickly queen, a house that's haunted (or worse), and the adult star next door. It's fun, funny, ambient, & creepy as hell.
