Someone once told Leo he didn't deserve the life he wanted, that his presence always amounted to chaos, no matter where he went. He believed it, and it hurt because he felt that person was right. That stuck with him for a good chunk of 20 years following the death of his wife.

If an ally asked Leo if he was okay, he would say yes, despite it being an obvious lie. He knows that there are moments where it's okay not to be okay, but he hates the mere thought of being a burden to his friends.

Whenever Leo was sad, he knew just the simple presence of his wife would cheer him up. Talking to her was the greatest gift he could have asked for. A hug from her was a blessing to him. That was was changed his mood from sad to relieved and happy again; the presence of his loved one.
