We are celebrating local art, music, and community on Route 66 at the Visitor Center. From mariachi to local eats, this pop-up is giving neighbors a first look at a future hub for culture and connection on the Westside. Swing by before 4 pm to join the fun.
Yesterday, we took another big step toward recovery, stability, and compassion in our city. We’re investing $2.9 million from opioid settlement funds to expand recovery housing and crisis response through ACS, helping more people find care, stability, and hope.
Albuquerque’s Gateway Center is expanding to reach more people in need. With City and State support, 142 new beds are being added, 92 for men and 50 for women. More safe housing, more treatment access, and more chances to rebuild lives for a stronger Albuquerque.
I joined our community at the No Kings protest in Albuquerque to stand up for a core American principle: no kings, no absolute power. Proud to see so many voices united for nonviolence, civic action, and the power of the people to shape our future.
From new pickleball courts to vibrant community spaces, we’re investing in neighborhoods across Albuquerque. Upgrades at parks and centers citywide are creating more places for families to gather, play, and thrive. That’s Real Work, Real Progress.
Albuquerque is leading the way in reimagining public safety. We just launched the new ACS Academy with CNM Ingenuity, giving alternative first responders hands-on training to handle 911 calls on behavioral health, substance use, and homelessness.
Yesterday we celebrated 13 AFR members earning promotions to company and chief officer ranks. Behind every badge is a story of service and strength. I’m proud to stand behind these leaders and the crews recognized for lifesaving actions. You embody what it means to protect ABQ.
The Trump Administration asked airports to play a political TSA video, but our airports aren’t the place for partisan messages. At the Sunport, our focus stays where it belongs, on safety, security, and making sure everyone has a good travel experience.
The Westgate Community Center turned an empty lot into a hub for learning, play, and connection. Activity rooms, a fitness space, a game room, and a playground give Southwest Mesa families long awaited resources and opportunities. This is Real Work, Real Progress.
We’re celebrating Indigenous Peoples’ Day at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. Albuquerque is the only city that honors Indigenous sovereignty by law and works government to government with our pueblos and tribes. Today and every day, we celebrate Indigenous communities.
Before, this part of Los Altos Park was just dirt. After years of work, the new pump track, dog park, Easterday entrance, and walking path opened this past May, giving families, riders, and pets more ways to get outside and enjoy the park.

Real work, real progress.
What used to be a dirt lot is now one of best pickleball facilities in the Southwest with 33 courts, new lights, shade, and restrooms. More than new courts, it is a place for families, tournaments, and community connection. Real work, real progress.
Before, Juan Tabo Hills Park slides were just a dirt lot. After steady work and investment from our Parks and Recreation crews, both embankment slides opened in May. Real Work Real Progress is creating safe, fun spaces for kids and families across Albuquerque.
What was once an empty lot is now home to Albuquerque Community Safety’s first permanent headquarters. The new 10,800-square-foot facility gives ACS room to grow, train, and serve, helping people in crisis get the right care at the right time. This is Real Work, Real Progress.
A new study ranks Albuquerque among the nation’s top 10 large cities for economic growth. We’re 9th for strong GDP, rising wages, and a diverse economy. Investments in housing, infrastructure, and workforce development are fueling lasting prosperity. More at link in bio.
Albuquerque set the national standard for rethinking public safety. Five years ago, we launched Albuquerque Community Safety to treat behavioral health, addiction, and housing as safety issues. Now cities like New York, Durham, and St. Paul are following our lead. Link in bio.
Albuquerque is taking real action to support neighbors experiencing homelessness and substance use challenges. We’re investing 1.9 million dollars in housing stability and supportive services, expanding ACS Street Outreach, and helping more people find safety and stability.

@mayorkeller.bsky.social sees 8th & Central as our city's most vibrant street scene, & so do tourists. Now he's promising to create several more lively social spaces around #ABQ. So good for the #Millennials & #Zoomers of #Burque, who look for #busking spots to hang out & enjoy music & conversation.
I stopped by GreekFest this weekend to celebrate culture, community, and some incredible food. Festivals like this bring people together and show what makes Albuquerque so special.
Albuquerque is at its best when we come together to care for our city. This week hundreds of City employees kicked off Operation Aloft, our annual Balloon Fiesta clean-up. Last year 10,000+ lbs of trash were collected and even more teams are out this year.
This month we made real progress: 61 new affordable homes at Calle Cuarta, opened NM’s first dental school, broke ground on ID Park, opened the Southwest Safety Center in Westgate, expanded youth + safety programs, and celebrated our community together.
Albuquerque is updating its traffic code for the first time in 50 years to save lives on our streets. The proposal strengthens protections for people biking, walking, and using trails, and aligns with Vision Zero to make our city safer for everyone.
Last Friday we signed legislation clearing the way for Pacific Fusion’s $1B campus at Mesa del Sol. This project anchors clean energy innovation, creates 200 high-wage jobs and hundreds more in construction, and puts Albuquerque on the map for fusion power.
In ABQ, LGBTQ+ rights are human rights. When I took office our equality score was a B. Today it’s 100% A+. We expanded protections, updated our human rights ordinance, added APD training and liaisons, and stood with our trans community. Progress we’re proud of.
Big wins for ABQ builders. We cut permit waits, cleared backlogs, and sped up inspections. Residential reviews went from 112 to 15 days, commercial from 121 to 37. Inspections now in 1 day, licenses in 2. Starting Oct 1, Express Permitting will make it even faster.
