Mostly writing and yapping about football. Can be found on the Cutback and the Pot Shot Pod
Tactically, but also culturally, would it be fair to say that over a year into the job, Renee has failed to instil a clear identity on this Arsenal side?

Tottenham look so much better under Thomas Frank but at their core they are still Tottenham

Very conflicted about the fact that we’re finally wearing a nice away kit but at the cost of both teams wearing their away kits - aka the utter woke nonsense final boss

“After all, football boardrooms – like Arsenal's – are overwhelmingly dominated by men, and it is men not calling out other men that allows this awful cycle to repeat itself.”

I Can’t Look at Arsenal the Same Way After Thomas Partey
It’s not normal for any fan to support 10 of your team’s players instead of 11 – but that’s what Arsenal forced many fans to do over the past three years. It should have been different.

The hardest article I’ve ever had to write – on a very important but harrowing subject www.versus.uk.com/articles/i-c...

And I believe the only reason we wore blue in 2023 was due to a shorts clash

I believe the blue kit at the 2023 WWC is the only change strip that an England senior team have at a tournament since the 2019 WWC. Which makes sense when most international teams don’t play in white, but still.

I want the manager asked about this in every press conference and interview all season, no matter how many times he offers no comment.

It's shameful that we were even considering renewing him.

The people at the top of the club were not blind to this situation, and still considered it in the interests of sporting expedience.

Lessons should be learned.

bsky.app/profile/that... For me, this is where we really miss someone like Havertz
Two major problems to that 1st half approach that have killed us at the tail-end of great buildup:

1) No service for Saka runs
2) Nobody on the end of Saka crosses (see below)

In one-off matches, finishing can come and go (as we are painfully reminded last night). Overall however, Arsenal don't have a clinical finishing problem buff.ly/ELzyDP3

Think we create more chances with one of those players in the team and therefore have a better chance of scoring. Finishing hasn’t really been a problem for Arsenal under Arteta. We over performed our xG significantly across the knockout phase!
