After nearly 20 years (Jesus) of Elongated Man being my favorite hero in DC, I finally have a figure of him in my favorite costume.

Ralph is awesome, but half of why he is awesome is Sue. Are there any figs of her?

"We are the Comixology killer" (does not have Image Comics, offers virtually no discount on older issues, pushes "resellable" digital copies). Ummmm...

Bought 4 “indie grab bags” at Newbury Comics. 10 comics for $6 per bag. I don’t think single issue comics are doing too well at that place. Will nudge my blog awake with the results of how many issues I find readable.

Sal Buscema, beloved comics artist, passes away

Sal Buscema, a veteran comics artist and part of the famed Buscema family of Marvel artists, has passed away. He was 89 years old when he died on Friday, and the news broke today, on what would have been his 90th birthday.

Hey, it was better than “Metal” or whatever the hell that nonsense was.
Couldn't resist these at the library sale, three bucks, a pristine pair of Doomsday Clock collections, a book I am positive is going to be absolutely fucking stupid and I can't wait. Whoever donated these never even read 'em. I opened one up in the lobby and the spine cracked so hard a kid cried.

I now need to re-read Watchmen just to hear Norm as Rorschach in my head forever.
"So i grab this gentleman's little finger, and i BREAK IT, y'see? just snaps like celery, just a god awful sound, and i ask 'Who Killed Edward Blake'?"

Sal Buscema turns 90 today. There's hardly a Marvel character Sal hasn't left his mark on, from Cap to the Hulk, Avengers to Thor. Working with Sal for two years on Spectacular Spider-Man remains a highlight of my career. And the best part? He's not just a great artist, he's a truly good guy.

People! This looks so good! Help get it across the finish line! Horror vs Hate!
Save the over $15k we've raised with this book that will benefit CHIRLA (Immigrant Rights) & Lambda Legal (LGBTQIA+ Rights). All net proceeds after printing will be donated.

Switch parts of two related words and see if they still make sense.

Codcloth and Loinpiece.

I almost waited three full seconds before deleting a comment on Youtube video that took mild issue with the general opinion being expressed. Thankfully, I then just deleted my comment, exited the video, and considered unsubbing from the channel. Whew.

The Archie Comics model of “continuity” is the best one for corporate-owned serialized properties. I didn’t say most successful or mindlessly addictive, I said “best.”
What's one of your comic book related hot takes?

(Haters welcome in the comments). 😏
