I broke my finger yesterday.
Trying to do everyday things with limited use of my left hand is teaching me patience. I have to keep my hand elevated, so even getting dressed can be a challenge.
Makes me appreciate what people with real disabilities have to go through even more.

Just fixed an embarrassing bug in the demo for Aqatillion that went unreported for an entire year after the demo's release. Turns out, if you use the combo skill "Ice Blade," the demo crashed due to a missing animation file.

A position has recently opened at a location that is half the commute of my current job. I have also worked at this location previously on a temporary basis. I have an interview with the manager on Monday morning. Wish me luck!

So, just to update folks on my career situation, the promotion at the slightly farther away location didn't work out. Today, I applied for a promotion at an even farther away location. It'll be an hour drive each way, plus or minus downtown city traffic.

Back in the day, I was super into Ragnarok Online. It's really the only MMO I ever put any time into.
I started playing Ragnarok DS, and despite the rough translation, it's bringing back some nice memories for me.
Sadly, a single-player version of an MMO is inherently lonely. It feels empty.

Update: I was informed today that I was not selected for the promotion. They had around a hundred people at my level and higher who were interested in the position, and that manager reached out to my manager, who told me this morning that I wouldn't be getting an interview.
This is not the end.
