Next Tuesday 12/9, the Morrison Bridge will be lit up in purple to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the UN Genocide Convention, and honor all the victims and survivors of genocide, here in our community and across the world.

There will be a vigil at Salmon Street Springs. I hope you’ll join us.

This is one of those things that I think is quietly important – when these people are talking shit about cities, Portland or Minneapolis or New York or Charlotte or wherever, you have to loudly say, “no, fuck you, you’re lying, that town and its people whip ass and you’re the asshole”

Our Homelessness Response System is improving and outcomes from our current SHS investments are strong — ending and preventing homelessness for more than 17,000 of our neighbors.

For SHS to have the impact voters intended, we have to look at how dollars are connected to the needs in our region.
It also shoulders much more of the burden because supply of cash, not demand for services, determined funding ratios.

She wasn't even flying internationally. She was flying to Texas.

Next up Crystal Ballroom please.

Then let’s make getting a drink at the Roseland a less miserable experience.
Wonder Ballroom just ended “The Moat” era — no more splitting crowds, no more weird barricades. Portland shows just got way more inclusive.

I think it’s honestly disgusting and deeply unserious that the Revoke the Permit people have clipped videos of my women colleagues eating pizza at the dais as some kind of shaming tool, which is now being used by right-wing media to harass them in misogynistic ways. Congrats everyone.

What amazing timing for this news story, leading into tonight's vote on banning algorithmic price fixing tools for Portland rentals.

I support a City of Portland ordinance prohibiting raising rents through algorithm-driven price fixing services. Protecting tenants from rent increases that do not take into account local, individual needs is a policy we need to decrease evictions, safeguard tenants, and promote fair competition.

That’s brings the total number of tuition-free seats PFA is providing for families throughout MultCo to over 3,800 seats across more than 220 locations — exceeding this year’s goal by 27%.

We remain on track to reach universal coverage by 2030.
