Today’s O editorial basically says “City shelters should be run like MultCo shelters” but they would never admit it.

MultCo shelters:
- 24/7 w/ support services
- 86% capacity
- most have good neighbor agreements
- high retention rates for people moved into supportive housing

Multnomah County joins 39 other local governments nationwide in legal filing supporting Oregon and Portland’s efforts to block deployment of National Guard

The amicus brief follows a pair of rulings from a U.S. District Court judge that granted temporary restraining orders barring President Donald Trump from deploying troops to Portland from any state.

Judge: That's what I'll do. Prohibit federalization or deployment of any NG troops into Oregon. For all reasons in prior opinion. Deployment of federalized military is ultra vires and contrary to law, violating Title 10, section 12406. I also find it's likely that defendants violate 10th Amendment.
