Nah, it's an easy Trek pick for me. On average, the movies are better, the shows are cozy. The general canon and lore is so loose its ridiculous, but I consider that a strength.
Same here. Tigers to Mariners, and now Blue Jays.

I also wanted Brewers over Dodgers.
The median for SNAP benefits is almost $3000 annually! $3000 just to swipe a card, work two jobs, stress about how to cover your rent, drive on bald tires, and forgo preventative medicine!

It's a median of $60,000 to house a prisoner, fyi.
I was hoping I'd end my short time as a Blue Jays fan with a victory, but at least as a Tigers fan, I'm used to this type of thing. Anyway, F--- the Dodgers, as usual.

Well, not really, although I'd prefer the Brewers. Oh well. Baseball ends. I do not watch any other sports with regularity.
I'm sorry it didn't work - I have no idea why it's working for me, but I will never close this window.
Two guys on base. Come on, we need ONE RUN!
Game 7 down to the 9th is dope. I would love this game to end in 9 innings.
Found a World Series feed, unreal. Go Blue Jays!
Just imagining this guy at work the next day describing trick or treating like it's a weird thing that happened and his co-workers like "Yeah, Bob, they were trick or treating. Everyone does it on Halloween, what's wrong with you?" and him refusing to believe it's common.
When I was like 8 and trick or treating one guy in a dapper suit opened the door and looked baffled by the very concept of trick or treaters, he turned to a bowl on a table and gave us each a handful of loose change. Almost four decades later and I’m still thinking about that eccentric king.
In 6 years of living here we've never had a trick or treater so we stopped buying candy but I got one last night so I gave him $5 then went to bed cause that's all the cash I had on me
I like being outside doing something, is a big part of it. And I like wading in water. But I absolutely hate catching fish and removing hooks because I'm kind of a chickenshit about it.
I'm jealous of people who love fishing. I grew up fishing but never got into it. It's fine. But it looks like something that's really awesome to be super into, and I'm not. Does anyone else have hobbies they know they don't like, but sort of wish they did?
Having to teach the day after Halloween is brutal.
Always happy to hear @carlhendrick.substack.com on a podcast. A very brief/quick reference to how inane the concept of the "hero teacher" is. The best teachers do their job really well every day. That's it.

Most of their money is imaginary anyway.
You guys remember the episode of Recess where TJ cornered the market on stickers so everyone just switched stickers? I feel like the "shadow" government is just us, the people, helping each other and ignoring all the elites.
A common theme of Trump II is an utterly cowardly class of elites while everyday regular people have risen to the occasion
French bakery in Bed-Stuy offers free breakfast to SNAP card holders
Thank God I have created a course/shop/book/supplement for you to pay me money for. Because I care. Just enough to overcharge you.
If only other people would admit how much better they are than everyone, you could find a place to belong and feel superior together.
Because you do it, and its important others feel lesser to you. But it's hard. And no one admits it. Not only are you better than those not doing it, you're better than the ones who do. Because you're not scared of the truth.
Here are some pretty words that uncover a truth about something you do that makes you feel better than others - how you secretly think its hard to do this thing that makes you superior.
Evergreen forever.
in times like this we return to the ancient texts
One other thing I love about Voyager is how so far they have a "Holodeck of the Season" featured. First it was the pool hall, then I think it was the resort? I'm forgetting one. Season 4 is Leonardo DaVinci's workshop. I think it's neat!
