Last week was the worst #NUFC under Eddie.

Today is the worst performance by Eddie.

Poor. Baffling.

I’m not overly optimistic for #NUFC tomorrow but my god if we win we will still somehow be no more than 2 wins off our rivals and likely 3 pts behind most

You’d like to think away form has to improve and the fluidity in general will mean results improve and we get momentum

Please win!!

Awful performance, awful result.

Don’t want to over react. I trust Eddie to sort it.

2 wins in the next week and things will feel slightly different, but #nufc have been sub-par in the league so far and need to put a run together.

Tonight is important for #NUFC & we can win both this & Sunday

I would like to see proper rotation tonight

A) to manage minutes & keep the whole squad fresh

B) if there is 1 priority this week I think it is Sunday

We need momentum in the PL - consecutive wins & 1st away win would be huge

Absolutely. Big Nick's feet will only get quicker; Gordon is into some great form; Barnes is on his way there; Wissa is back on grass. Soooo much to look forward to!

Reading some interesting opinions about the game today. Matt Sels was by far their best player today, we won 2-0 so that’s 5 clean sheets in the PL only conceding to Liverpool and Arsenal.

I personally think we are slowly gelling into a decent team & on another day we win that game by 4 or 5 #nufc

Random tangent…

In July 2023 I lost my dad unexpectedly. Born in London, he was a spurs fan

That 23/24 season, Ange had a good start at spurs. As direct rivals to #NUFC, I hated it

In one game, they lost 2-1 to Wolves in the last min and I remember celebrating as if we’d won a match.

Delighted with that result. Stodgy first half, v promising second.

We’re building. We’re in the mix. I love how solid we look.

Ultimately we’ve only lost to Ars, L’pool and Barca. 2 in the last minute.

I fancy this iteration of us to give those sides a better game away from home too.

Good performance from everyone tonight. Team really starting to gel. Beat Forest and our season is back on track. #nufc

Ok great performance so far for #NUFC

I’ve felt weirdly confident all season so far even during some rough performances & feels like that front 3 are clicking

Rest a couple of key players now. Keep a clean sheet

What I’d give for an Elanga goal and a 2-0 win this weekend 🙏🏻

The last time Newcastle lost at home to Arsenal and Liverpool in the same season, we qualified for the Champs League. In 4th. With 71 points.

We also drew away at Leeds and Bournemouth that season.

We actually lost to Villa away 3-0.

It’s a long season & I fancy us to have a good one.

I feel like I take #NUFC defeats worse than anyone but for some reason I feel ok atm

We’ve lost 2 sickeners. Struggling to score. 1 win in 6. Get it

But I see a strong unit. Big Nick adding a new attacking dimension. Squad depth

We’re 6 off 3rd. Yes, need to go on a run but I think it’ll click

Tonight I’m going to dream about the space and through balls Woltemade will create for Elanga and Gordon when they’re all up to speed.

And the pace and strength of a Hall Livramento Thiaw and Botman back 4.

And the physicality of a Tonali, Bruno, Joe midfield.

Woltemade looks fucking brilliant. Love what he does on the ball.

Honestly when you think Elanga, Gordon & Barnes still to click. Wissa and Ramsey to come back.

4 clean sheets in 5 prem games.

We’re gonna be mint.

Geordie Andy Cook joining only Liverpool & Barcelona in breaching our watertight defence.

Great 45 for us. Miley has been a total Rolls Royce. Also easily Osula's best performance in the famous black and white. Only criticisms are that the crossing could have been better and that we should shoot more from around the fringes of the box. #NUFC

Marvellous result. Sounds like I didn’t miss much but I’m very happy to see United digging in these days. That was a tough gig after Barca. Win home games, get draws away, utilise the squad. A good way to approach things.

Not pretty but pretty good from
#NUFC

I get the frustrated/lack of goals/only b’mouth takes but 4 clean sheets in 5 is top

We’ve played L’pool & Villa/B’mouth (A). Arsenal next

Get through Weds + result vs ARS & we’ve played out way into season despite major ST issues

We always build momentum

Three days after a Champions League game

Long journey

Team heavily rotated

Against a good team riding high and scoring goals

Robbed of clearcut penalty

There are plenty that will moan but that's a good clean sheet, performance and point.

I hate losing more than anyone

#NUFC have competed, arguably been better, against one of the best

I get the frustration around starting 11 etc but I trust Eddie

Gonna focus on the positives

We’re playing well. Thiaw looks good. Elanga promise. Wissa to come. Depth

Gonna be a good season

Eddies #NUFC lost their 1st cup final against an average side

They learnt from it & beat a title winning side in the next one

1st CL; narrowly eliminated from a group of death

I have no doubt they’ve learnt again

Harness the emotion & be clinical in execution. Excited about how we go this year
September 17, 2025 at 5:41 PM
Chelsea Villa Forest Brighton all dropping points today

I’d have taken being 4 off the pace at this stage considering our striker issues / general distraction of the transfer saga

Some tough games coming up but big opportunities

Come on #NUFC
September 13, 2025 at 8:57 PM
I think I’d go Gordon up top on Thursday. Elanga on the right. Big Joe on the left & bring Willock into midfield to dovetail with him

Maintains power & physicality of Big Joe & running of Willock

Big Nick, Murphy, Barnes, Osula options from bench

Manage big Nick mins while Wissa out

#NUFC

Huge result for #NUFC today

Not at our best, predictably nervy final 20 when 1 up, but dominated that after the first 15

1st win of season, 3rd clean sheet from 4, and Big Nick off the mark

Pts are about par from 1st 4 games. 2 extra pts from Leeds & we’d be laughing

On we go. Exciting times
September 13, 2025 at 4:08 PM
Years of #NUFC trauma means that when two probably independent things happen I assume the worst.

Osula deal off

Wissa deal sheet lodged

Surely the Wissa deal doesn’t fall through?
