Police blotters? Jail records?

Both of these things can be true:

1. Auburn was on the bad side of some questionable, controversial calls last night.

2. Auburn lost not because of that, but because it didn't handle that well, as Hugh Freeze and players basically admitted.

Auburn-Georgia officiating was a mess. But it wasn’t the only reason the Tigers lost
Auburn had control of the game against Georgia — until it lost control, after a series of calls that didn’t go its way.

Saturday in Stillwater, Trent Eaton made his way to an empty Section 231 of Boone Pickens Stadium, took off his orange Pokes shirt, and started a movement.

Guys being dudes.

I think it's true that Auburn had a couple big, close calls go against them...and also true that they're not making the plays they need to make to win games against good conference opponents. Freeze said pretty much that

If you want to say it's another sign Napier can't and won't get it done, evidence supports that. If you want to say he's not that far away, there's some evidence to support that, too.
Question is, how much (if anything) has changed with the decision makers?

Here's what I wrote after Florida lost to Miami: "If Saturday was another referendum on Florida coach Billy Napier’s job, it was an ink-blot test that allows you to make whatever conclusion you wish."
I feel like this is the same. Competitive loss at a really good team....

Georgia ran 23 plays in the first half. The lowest under Kirby: 42 against Florida in a 2017 blowout (Jim McElwain's last game).

I'm a little surprised Florida took the FG there instead of going for it on fourth and 2, especially after running on third and 8 the play before. Either way, Gators trim the Aggies' lead to 24-17

This is, what, three reviews in a six-play span at Auburn-Georgia?

Gotta say: I wish we could hear what the replay folks were saying during this Auburn-UGA TD review

Also on G5/6 CFP watch: Navy just scored on a 2PC to go up 32-31 at Temple with 39 seconds left...

Air Force misses the would-be game-tying FG, and UNLV survives 51-48

That's Indiana's first win over a top-five team, I think, since beating No. 3 Purdue (??) in 1967.

Anthony Colandrea scrambles for a 19-yard TD. UNLV back in front...

Air Force just scored to take the lead on 5-0 UNLV with 1:13 left. Of note because I've included Dan Mullen's Rebels as a darkhorse CFP contender...

Penn State, on the other hand....

So *this* is the Texas team most of us expected in August

KENT STATE RETURNS THE OPENING KICKOFF FOR A TD!

THEY'RE ALREADY UP ON UMASS

Totally did not realize Deuce Spann was still playing and now at Pitt. Picks up a big fourth down conversion that leads to a Panthers touchdown at one of his former schools, Florida State.

Heck of a first drive for Mizzou against Bama.

College Football Playoff expansion has been a boon to the Group of 5. The biggest crowd in North Texas history was another example.

Moving to 12 was great for the sport. You gotta sell hope. (Even if USF is really good)

North Texas’ sellout crowd vs. USF shows Group of 5 football is thriving in CFP expansion era
It’s good for college football that the top of the Group of 5 has a path into the College Football Playoff field.
