"While I'd imagine your people's history is long, that sounds as good a point to start from as any."
Inclining her head, she proceeds to pour them both a cup of the rust coloured tea.

"This one is rather bitter," she informs him while setting the cup down and gesturing to a small dish.

"There is honey, should you need the sweetness."

"On the surface?" She hums, eyeing the mementos curiously.

"Your memory. Otherwise I may suggest that they represent two eras of your life," her head tilts as she considers the items further. She does not move to touch them, finding them too personal.

Part of her wondered if they knew what had followed. Did they know how they had been devolved as punishment? Hopefully not.

“Something has changed. Even I know I differ to who I -

Regardless of how little of it remained.

“There is yet a chance that the Didact may see his error. Many that found themselves here,” she gestures to the structure -

She stifles her distaste for the creations with a short sip of her drink before continuing -

At his question, she polishes off the remainder of her drink and refills her glass. The Mantle. A topic of personal conflict, one that she could not truly speak of with another. Even now, many held it close, and even she couldn’t quite let it go.

They say a watched pot never boils.

But those people have burnt or underdone tea.
Humming softly she diligently brews a small pot of tea.
