I am by no means the demographic young anything, but I cannot imagine the situation where that kind of conversation could happen in a group and I would stay. So offensive. Apparently one was a school counselor. If that was my kid’s school, I would be down at the principal’s office right now.
Even after we deal with Trump, we'll be cleaning up the mess he created for decades. Once you mainstream bigotry, it takes a long time and a lot of work to make it shameful again.

I can’t help but think today about how many young people were savaged on social media, branded as anti-semites and abandoned by their schools for daring to call for a ceasefire. I remember saying that it was the first time I can remember that calling for ceasefire was regarded as a hostile demand.
