Nah, if Vendrame joined, they could ride with 4 against the rest. Otherwise it was only Cian riding. The biggest mistake is with Tulett to go to soon to hard. Would be better to being 2-3 extra guys with Kelderman f.e. one of them.

Riding with 1, only Cian, in the decent and on the flat against mutiple riders and teams? Great idea! And Tulett isn’t a 100% secure win either.
