One of the many reasons I hate this is that it takes advantage of the fact that people won't do the math.
$4,200 is $11.50/day. For a family of four, that's 96¢ per meal.

When I was growing up in lily-white Central WI I had like 4 aunt K/Cathys. Only one of them was an actual aunt (through marriage to my mom's brother). I called a bunch of my parents' close friends Uncle _________ or Aunt _________This "controversy" is stupid as hell.

Awesome, awesome record & really good writeup!
"'Deluxe' sits at the midpoint of the avant-meets-rock continuum begun by psychedelia, progressed by prog and completed by post punk, which is absolutely smeared with Harmonia’s fingerpints."

Sometimes Easy, Sometimes Hard: Harmonia's Deluxe at 50
By 1975, the ornery optimism of the early 70s had declined into a laid-back complacency, with the period’s political stasis paralleled by the mainstream hegemony of unchallenging soft rock. In response, Harmonia’s second album, Deluxe represents a defiant continuation of countercultural impulses – experimentalism, improvisation, communality – while prefiguring the unease and dissatisfaction soon to […]

Dallas Orbiter is stoked to be playing the physical release show for Field Hospitals' 'Ethel Green's EP this Friday at Eagles 34. Extra stoked that the mighty Rank Strangers have just joined the bill! Sadly, Superfloor had to step aside. We're playing first at approximately 8pm. Come say hi!!!

If you, like me, love Miles' band's 'Dark Magus's 3-guitar period, I have a feeling you're gonna love this. It's that lineup playing different tunes (it starts with some "Yesternow') Sounds really good too!

Reposting this thread probably because I'm feeling a bit nostalgic while staying in from the wildfire haze on what otherwise would be a gorgeous Saturday morning in MPLS.
In 2011, Dallas Orbiter did a project where we kinda ripped off the Wedding Present's 'Hit Parade' idea of releasing an original single each month with a cover song as the "B-side." Except we did it online-only, & only on our website. The streamers may have existed then, but we had no idea.
