Research from #Fiji is showing high integrity and intact coral reefs had high resilience to category 5 cyclone, bouncing back in 4 years. These are reefs protected by communities in partnership with local tourism operators. #oceanoptimism

We often forget how far we have come:

➡️ Today almost 50% of EU electricity generation is from renewable energy sources.

➡️ It is not long ago that fossil fuels dominated the EU's electricity mix. This year their share is approaching 1/4 of EU electricity generation.

When it comes to climate change, the number of amplifying feedback cycles far outweigh the dampening ones. But here's one in the latter category!

Eating more meat -> higher GHG emissions -> more climate change -> more meat allergies -> lower GHG emissions
