That was the weirdest 2-pt conversion I’ve ever seen. Viva la replay.

The best thing about today's College Football Playoff rankings is that the committee is going to be torched no matter what they do - needing to fit Miami, Notre Dame, and Alabama into 2 spots will result in an internet meltdown.

Great W for Syracuse tonight. This is a young team and they’ll be inconsistent this year but you can see Coach Autry has things moving in the right direction.

Protect the Arts. Nourish the Artists.
I hope someone draws this wonderful story about Tom Stoppard's Arcadia and the power of the arts to help us see things differently, to the attention of our Education Secretary. Do read it, it will lift your spirits.

Pretty sure Drake Maye leads the league in 30+ yard handoffs. There aren't many who can drop it in a bucket like Maye.

Giants are terrible, but they're feisty, at least. Good test for the Pats tonight.

And those Patriots red throwbacks are among the best NFL throwbacks. I wish they'd either go back to them or rebrand. Time for Elvis to go.

I know it won't make Ole Miss fans any happier if Kiffin bolts, but I love Oxford, Mississippi.

Syracuse going to OT with the #3 team in the country tonight is a very good sign this basketball team is finally headed in the right direction after far too many years being sub-mediocre.

Also, they should never not wear these jerseys.

Here are the only Star Wars Rankings that matter:

1. Your favorite
2. Your 2nd favorite
3. Your 3rd favorite
4. Your 4th favorite
5. Your fifth favorite.
...
Last. Your least favorite

Don't let anyone else convince of what's good Star Wars or bad Star Wars.

S is for THE SCOOBY-DOO PROJECT
A ★★★★ review of The Scooby-Doo Project (1999)
I had no idea this existed before a few days ago, but it's really well done. At least as a Scooby satire; I still have never seen any of the Blair Witch things. Minus a half star for the cheap Scrappy...

A ★★★★ review of Ring (1998)
A highly effective slow burn horror film that is more interested in the tension felt by the characters than it is in scaring the audience at home. The film depends on its visuals to provide the creepy...

A ★★ review of Popeye the Slayer Man (2025)

O is for ODDITY
A ★★★★ review of Oddity (2024)
Oh yeah, this is how to do a nice moody horror. A couple nice scares, but really, this works because of the way director Damian McCarthy blends story and tension. Has the feel of an old-timey MR James...

Ugh. Gutted for Toronto.

Great World Series, though.
November 2, 2025 at 4:20 AM
The 9th inning!

Game-tying HR from just about the last guy you'd expect.

Bases loaded, 1 out, and no runs in despite a razor-thin play at the plate and then an outfield collision on a deep fly ball.

What a brilliant World Series this has been!

Tied in Toronto!
November 2, 2025 at 3:17 AM
Not even thru 4 and Game 7 has been spicy.

Bichette can't score on the single, so next time up he drills one out of the park.

2 run saving catches from Varsho and Vladi.

Giménez tries to lean his hand into a pitch, then gets all salty when he gets drilled on the next pitch.

Drama!
