We can see this in how folks are pushing back hard against even the barest hint of disagreement with horrible fucking ideas like "RSVP online for a protest," as if we should sit the fuck down and let our betters decide our path to liberation. As if we don't know how best to deal with the moment.

i have been in spaces recently that include people with an impulse to poke fun at moderates and liberals

the function of this is usually to make social glue with others around them and to make it clear that they do not view themselves as liberals

another common place i will see people make an out-group for liberalism is to imagine themselves as comrades of the Black Panther Party rather than call themselves liberals

but very few Americans will take up militant armed struggle, they are more likely to take up misogyny

a nice thing about these kinds of conversations is that it will definitely lead to her asking about more things she thinks are emergencies and testing that concept

today though, she learned what you can do and who you can call if someone has died that does not involve calling the police

I am not convinced this is in conflict with what JB Pritzker thinks the Illinois State Police should be doing and he never practiced managing the Illinois State Police, requiring them to bend to his direction in a conflict.

Instead, he gave them a pension sweetener this year.
