Poor little Zia the snowflake …
Shelagh’s just asking questions….☺️
Reform love free speech while being perpetually offended any time someone asks them a very basic question.

It's a curious paradox.

Why doesn't he just laugh and say, "Of course he isn't" instead of getting so cross.
‘Is Nigel Farage a Russian asset?’
‘Are you seriously asking me that?’

@shelaghfogarty.bsky.social refuses to back down while questioning Reform’s Zia Yusuf.

Friends: do you know a Megan, who recently hurt her ankle in a Trade Joe’s parking lot and had surgery? Because her pissy ginger boyfriend is talking shit about her at Denver airport and thousands of women on Threads from *at least four* continents are gonna hunt him into his last days.

Pass it on.

This summarises the issue I worry most about in terms of Labour’s plan to ensure people ‘feel better off’ by the next election. The papers will just tell them they’re not better off and should be angry about that. The media can create a reality which totally subverts the data.
New net migration figures at 930am.

Net migration fell half a million to 344,000 in 2024 from 848k in 2023

56% of people think it went up last year
17% think stayed the same
14% think it went down

2025 figure to be lower again
16% expect that
38% think it will be up
31% about the same

If multiple people can remember someone being horribly racist, even by the appalling low bar of the racist 1970s, that is entirely noteworthy.

As an adult Farage fanboyed Enoch Powell - the most infamous racist of the 1960s - and long cited him as his political hero.

And that's noteworthy too.

There it is. Our national broadcaster living in fear of the most openly corrupt US president in American history. This is where the British patriots on the right have got us.
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

When the racist comedian Bernard Manning fell out of fashion in more tolerant times and stopped appearing on TV he defended his long history of appalling offensive "jokes" as nothing more than "banter"and insisted that he "had a go at everyone".

This is the Bernard Manning defence.

A lawyer for Nigel Farage (27th Oct 2025) promised "proceedings would be issued forthwith" if the Guardian were to publish "any allegation suggesting that Mr Farage engaged in, condoned, or led racist or antisemitic behaviour"

A bluff?

The paper has done so

Black Friday is basically bollocks and small businesses deserve your support.
I’m not doing Black Friday this year.
I’d rather be honest with you than try to compete with big brands.
Every purchase genuinely makes a difference to my tiny business.

Ultra-processed foods now make up at least half of all food sold in UK supermarkets. The Lancet has described them as a “corporate-engineered public health crisis.”

We can change this — but only if we confront corporate power.

From the obvious reality of this two-bit bigot to the orchestrated attacks on the BBC to the pathological arrogance of Johnson & Cummings, it’s oddly ungratifying to see so much of ‘How They Broke Britain’ still resonating this month.
NEW: Nigel Farage is facing renewed calls to explain why he repeatedly aired tropes and conspiracy theories associated with antisemitism during interviews, after claims the Reform UK leader used racist language in his teens.

I remain genuinely gobsmacked that this wasn’t picked up more. The Alex Jones who *repeatedly accused grieving parents of making up their children’s murders*.
Anyway, “after the news we’ll be joined by Nigel Farage & definitely won’t be asking him about any of this…”
On US TV shows and podcasts from 2009-18, Farage discussed supposed plots by bankers to create a global government, citing Goldman Sachs, the Bilderberg group and George Soros as threats to democracy. Included six guest slots with the disgraced far-right US conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

They wanted Johnson. (And what a disaster that was for us).
Now they want Farage. (Would be an off the scale catastrophe for the country).

Farage can now be easily boxed in to a corner where his only ‘defence’ becomes: “Yes I spouted Kremlin propaganda & Putin worship but, unlike Nathan Gill, I didn’t need bribes to do it.”
It is, once again, a question of whether interviewers have the temerity to shut down his whining obfuscations.

“Did you, in your roles as his boss, friend, mentor & party leader, ever question his full-throated support for an enemy of the UK and if not, why not?”

You can have those for nothing, lads.
