Software developer, a man with a beard, and generally a friendly and curious person.
Interested in vintage computers, chess, weight and functional training, electronics (& making stuff with 3d printing), and modular synthesizers.
Providing these "getting started" preset overlays is a great idea from Moog

First adventures in Teletype land. Simple sequencer with some fixed and some random notes. Every 13 steps one step gets removed. There is also a bit of CV manipulation there, param knob value controls timbre in plaits

Sometimes it is fun to use ChatGPT to discuss coding ideas or even take snippets from what it comes up with. With Java/SQL/Python that works well. With C64 it is kinda bad (normal Basic stuff is okay, SID with PEEK/POKE is bad). But its Monome teletype code by ChatGPT is hilariously bad

After moving the overflow rack to its new place, the scope has re-entered the area. Shelf stability is not great, probably needs more elements to increase stiffness. Still waiting for 3d printer parts #synthsky #eurorack

Not my best day. 3d printer broke while printing cabinet legs and had to order replacement parts. Then i failed to update the firmware of the Teletype (wrong driver). When i installed the new shelf/cabinet (what is the difference?) I knocked over a lamp. Yikes

Made a shelf made from aluminium profiles. The mixer will fit underneath and my overflow rack will be in top. Needs 3d printed cabinet legs and it's done.

Camera says the color isn't yellow. But it is.
First experiments: Script triggers on input 1 and sends 2 gate pulses to tr output 1 and a random CV to cv output 1. Range of random is controlled by variable X. A lot to learn here

The small us keyboard arrived and waits for the Teletype clone to arrive. Looks a bit out of place there. Yesterday I read the first chapters in the tutorial. Happy days ahead #monometeletype #synthsky #eurorack

At some point before 2020 I saw this film, it is the reason I bought my first Eurorack module, Mutable Instruments Plaits during the pandemic

When I read about the concept for he first time I was intrigued. Then I thought it's stupid (typing on a keyboard...feels like working?). Then these clones got rare and the DIY kits are expensive considering shipping and customs). So when this showed up on german version of craigslist, I bought it 😃

Miss me with this instant forgiveness of Marjorie Taylor Greene. She’s no hero. She’s Christoph Waltz at the end of Inglorious Basterds.

Bob Moog died for your synths!

Don't do modular! Not even once!*

*Modularsynths gelten bei Synth-Nerd*Inen als Gegenstück zu Crack & Meth :D weil dann wirds wirklich wild mit Module sammeln. NOCH konnte ich widerstehen!

Found this old video of a Lorenz attractor running on a Raspberry Pi with audio being fed into a Koma Field Kit Fx. That is how I started my modular journey

Don't mind the chaos. Imho germans master the art of Beistelltisch (= side table). Now the Commodore C64 is back and there is even more space underneath for the scope and accessories

Ordered Doepfers new A-155-2 "Miniature Analog Sequencer". Thought I don't need one, because I already have the Oxi One. But the truth is, I use the simplistic Korg SQ-1 quite often and this thing is as basic as the SQ-1 and that's how my basic brain rolls :-)

Been playing around with using voltages created by dynamic systems for a while now.
Sarahs video here is about creating farn like structures with (fractal) algorithms (which is also an dynamic (chaotic) system). Interesting!

Has anyone tried this? Saw a video from @msmadlemon.bsky.social and as a vintage compute person it seems like a lovely device. Yes, it runs on SID clones, but the original chipa are really going extinct. MIDISID : MIDI in, 2 x SID clones from MIDI IN on Tindie share.google/i11yNbmg8R4x...

Didn't use the "end of" outputs of my ADSR envelope modules so far, except the ones in Math. Got inspired by Monotrails last video on YT. Here the "end of decay" output triggers the next envelope. Pretty useful for delays #synthsky #eurorack

Any "watch ppl" here? :-)
I’m generally not a "bracelet person", so I wore this Sinn 142 on a Cordura strap for a while. Unfortunately, the strap deteriorated rather quickly, so I’ve gone back to the bracelet. Still looking out for a new strap. Any hints?
