So surreal when two oomfs that I associate with completely different friend groups interact with one another. like. that is not your oomf that is my oomf exclusively. you know?
Obviously irrational and I don't actually have a problem with it, but makes my mind feel funny when I see it.

Done! I think they both went reasonably well, but maybe not "better than 75 other people" well.
Got 2 big interviews today, hopefully they go well! I'm thinking they should, but you never know. It's around 100 people competing for 25 spaces, so decent chances.

The annoying thing about getting a hold of academic history books (ie the kind with inline citation rather than just pop history) is that they're really expensive.
Best way to get them is going to charity shops and secondhand bookshops, but then there's much less choice.
