Your enthusiasm is contagious! I’ve got the book in my queue now and bored my hubby over dinner with a blow-by-blow description of the podcast. “Ox house” = alphabet ➡️ how cool is that?!?
I understand this. I am not a protesting kind of gal. But I keep thinking about the alternative - what if we DON’T show up, what message does THAT send? I don’t know if a protest changes anything, but it does change me. I need to stand up and join others in saying all this is Not OK.

National US MASS PROTEST 💁🏾 BOYCOTT from Black Friday November 28, 2025 to Cyber Monday December 1, 2025. Don’t shop at all don’t buy gas and don’t go into a physical storefront. Organized by a black woman fed up with this shit🤬. spread the word.
I’d rather try the other way, Benji
Sweetie, there’s nothing normal about this, but thanks for your sympathy. Angry literally just called for compassion.

Blaming Democrats for a shutdown when you control the House, Senate, and the White House only proves you can't govern.
Mine too - top of the bucket list

We thought No Kings Day in June would be a good protest. We did not know it would break records, with 2,169 protests in every state and 27 countries.

At this point I expect that if I quoted the First Amendment I would be hauled up for being antifa.

Censorship is unAmerican.
The rampant rise in free-speech censorship, fueled by Trump, should alarm all Americans, no matter their politics. Jen Rubin offers seven concrete ways to push back against this assault on the First Amendment.

This thread is extraordinary - it has moved me like few other 9/11 tributes have. Beautifully written. Thank you, @charlotteclymer.bsky.social
I wasn’t there. I didn’t know anyone who was killed, and I didn’t know anyone who knew anyone who was killed. I was 14 and a high school freshman in Central Texas and over 1,700 miles away when it happened.

Emma Heming Willis's book, The Unexpected Journey, is incredibly valuable for dementia caregivers. Not just a memoir, "also a book for caregivers at large facing the void of uncertainty, the pain of isolation & the hard decisions that come with this territory." #dementia #Alzheimers wapo.st/4mZncNf

I didn’t know Mr Cochrane, but reading his obituary encourages me to remember that there are such high-quality people out there. My mom calls people like Cochrane “plus-plus people.” His is a good American story.
RIP Davey, and thank you for the memories. ⚾️🧢
I love Tom Sietsema - love his writing in this column. Some real zingers here!
