Yesterday, we held a demonstration in front of the UK embassy in Warsaw- Poland. A small group with a loud message , freedom for the Filton 24. Our voices carried the weight of justice. We stood together to remind the world that silence helps the oppressor, never the oppressed.
Guantánamo 2.0

At 3 a.m., Kazakh agents took Sabri al-Qurashi and Mohammed Algubrai. By dawn, they were gone—deported, stateless, alone.

Sabri lived in Kazakhstan since 2014. Promised freedom from Guantánamo, he got another prison: no ID, no work, no family, constant surveillance, beatings.

Alligator Alcatraz may or may not close by October. There appears to be serious unrest and repression happening there or recently occurring. Guantánamo Bay survivor Mansoor Adayfi has a message for those locked inside: “Fight. They only understand force.”

The Florida detention center's days may be numbered, but its model has already spread. Here's what caged migrants should remember—and what the rest of us should resist.

My friend @mansooradayfi441.bsky.social writes eloquently of the similarities between Guantanamo, where he was illegally detained and brutally treated for 15 years, and Alligator Alcatraz.

Americans need to step up and demanding an end to these concentration camps, and accountability. No more GTMOs

My brother Fahd Ghazy, taken at 17 and caged in #Guantánamo for 14 years. He never gave up, rebuilt his life after release, then was sent back to war-torn Yemen where he died in a tragic accident. Today, I speak his name, his fight, his legacy. Watch, remember, and don’t forget to fight for justice
#Israel, Egypt, and Arab regimes are starving Gaza to death , a war crime unfolding in real time.
The U.S. just bombed Iran’s nuclear sites, bragging about ‘obliterating’ them. This isn’t defence, it’s imperial terrorism, a war crime, and a threat to all of us. How long will the world let these killers set the region on fire?”

5:
No one should live in a cage without rights, without hope — not for a second, not for 23 years.
4:
Nearly 70 migrants are also locked up. No rights. No voice. No future.
Guantánamo is not just a prison. It’s a symbol of fear, silence, and cruelty. We can’t look away.
3:
15 men are still locked in Guantánamo. Some for more than 23 years. Some cleared for release years ago. Still there. Forgotten. Abandoned.
What kind of justice is that?
2:
One of the worst forms of torture is being locked up without charges, without trial, without knowing when or if you’ll ever be free. Being cut off from your family and life, that’s a slow death.

June is the International Month for the Victims of Torture. I spent years in Guantánamo. I don’t need a definition. I’ve lived it.
Torture isn’t just beatings or waterboarding.

It’s been a while since I’ve written, spoken, or campaigned about Guantánamo. But rest assured, the work hasn’t stopped. Stay tuned—we’ll never stop until Guantánamo is closed and the men still trapped inside are free. The fight continues.

At Microsoft’s 50th anniversary, Ibtihal Aboussad shattered the silence. She stood up, called out complicity in genocide, and reminded the world that tech built on blood is not innovation—it’s war.

Even inside Big Tech, resistance lives.
