#Screenpit YOUR RIDE HAS ARRIVED Horror short

A young couple takes a ride with a suspicious Uber driver oblivious to the fact that a serial killer posing as a driver is on the loose in the area. Can they make it safely through the night?

Best feature and best plot!

People love these body snatching snowmen ⛄
HorrorHound informed me last night that my short has been nominated in 6 different categories for next months festival!!! “Best Concept” “Best Plot” “Best Characters” “Best Dialogue” “Best Writing” and “Best Short Script”
Oddly enough it usually is the first thing that pops up in my head when I think about the character or the first person irl I most associate with the character.
Your Ride Has Arrived gets another nomination!!!!
Not typically a fan of body horror but saw Together last night and it was one of my favorite films of 2025 along with Companion. Now if Weapons delivers like I think it will that will be horror film trifecta of the year!
Wow! Just got notified my short was picked for another festival! Can’t announce until Wednesday but I really feel like this one is making an impression and can’t wait until I complete the feature version this year! This is now the 4th time it’s been selected! #GoWriteIt #Screenwriting
Glad to see I’m in good company!

I enjoyed it myself as it’s the best one in a looonnng time. I do feel like other than part 2 nobody has figured out a satisfying ending to these things but I also couldn’t come up with one if you put a gun to my head so I get it lol
Congrats Christine!!!! That’s awesome!!
Favorite movie of 2025 so far. Just such a smart script
So I’m watching Fear Street: Prom Queen and for some reason it gives off a super “fabricated” 80’s vibe. Can’t pinpoint it but it’s like they’re trying too hard to make it look like the 80’s . Also the first kill was super lame….just my opinion
Thank you!!! Actually decided to try to turn this one into my first feature as a story idea came to me much quicker than that other one I was working on! ☺️
Thanks for selecting my short!!!!
So honored that my short Horror script “Your Ride Has Arrived” is an official selection of the 2025 Days of the Dead Film Festival in Indianapolis! Thanks to @xtinemakepeace.bsky.social for the referral!! 🥳

SINNERS. Go see it. In a theater. 70mm if possible. I’d read nothing about the movie, watched no trailers — went in blind and was BLOWN AWAY. And Delroy Lindo better get an Oscar nomination.
After watching Sinners I am questioning my ability as a writer 😥😥 but damn it was such a good story that doesn’t follow the typical structure of a feature
