The coolest thing about this shallow bowl is that the speckled brownstone clay it’s made from shows its flecks, making it look like stars in the sky. One of a kind shallow bowl, thrown on my pottery wheel, then decorated using sgraffito style tree branches and a cat gazing up toward the center of the bowl, where the moon is. The stars, cast by the specks in the clay, are a neat add-on, that I didn't expect.
