Well done to them - been to many cathedrals in England and the one I found most moving was Coventry Cathedral with the ruins of the bombed cathedral with its response of "Father Forgive" .

So the #pars play Queen of the South in the Scottish Cup today.

Neil Lennon commented "You just never know where a cup run will take you. I always say to the players, you don’t want to be sitting in the house watching a game when you’re thinking you could be there."

Even when she meets the criteria to come to the UK a home office official has decided to refuse the application leaving her to appeal with the cost and additional time that takes not to mention how is she meant to survive in the meantime. Perhaps the Home Secretary can show compassion and intervene?

Where would you go if everything fell through?

Like so many people escaping violence or instability, Ryan discovered that leaving danger doesn’t guarantee safety - especially when you have nowhere to go.

The future felt impossible to plan when he was simply trying to make it through one night at a time.

Every day, Cyrenians support people who are easy to overlook in a busy city: people sleeping rough, people in crisis, people surviving minute to minute.

But together, we can tackle homelessness.

Kingfishers make for beautiful photographs and there are many posted on BlueSky but this one by Tony is one of the best I have seen - #photography
As luck would have it, I popped into a local hide near the Rhone river yesterday and there perched in perfect #MorningLight, on a branch only a few feet away from me, was a kingfisher - the closest I've ever got to one. For today's #BirdoftheDay by @alan678.bsky.social.

Been visiting our Tesco shops taking part in the Dunfermline Foodbank food drive at dalgety bay, Duloch and the fire station as well as the team at the warehouse. Thanks to all the volunteers including the corporate teams over these three days and of course all those shoppers generously donating.
🎉 What a fantastic start to our Tesco collection!

We're absolutely in awe of the kindness and generosity of shoppers in Musselburgh, North Berwick and Haddington today. #thanks to everyone who has stopped by, donated, and chatted with our wonderful volunteers - you're all amazing!

'The Quiet Cottage'

A classic image made in #Connemara, back in 2020. One of those shoots that just stays with you. I’ve since photographed this location a few times since, but never as successfully as I did on my first visit.

We’re delighted the cruel two-child limit is being scrapped in full. This will lift 470,000 children out of severe hardship.

Thanks to everyone who campaigned to make this happen! 👏 👏 👏
Fantastic news! The Chancellor just announced the end of the 2 child limit. This will protect 100s of 1000s of children from growing up facing hunger & hardship, ease pressure on public services & boost our economy. #Budget2025

"Here’s what makes this particularly galling. Many of the biggest online gambling operators are based offshore in Gibraltar or Malta. They avoid UK corporation tax almost entirely while hoovering up billions from British punters."

Online gambling is one of the biggest employers in #malta
UK gambling industry made £15.6bn in 2024 (£16.8bn in 2025)

Most companies holed up in Gibraltar & Malta, dodge UK taxes. Some pay corporation tax at the rate of 3%-4%. No VAT on gambling.

Public bears the cost of gambling addiction.

Firms resent paying extra tax to clear their mess.

Tax them.
