(To give credit to the host of this festival, AI has apparently helped them get things done that would've taken them days in their old age. I now see the appeal in that aspect)

Season 2 finale (as well as James Gunn’s final time with these characters) of #Peacemaker drops today.

Don’t have much to say that @darrenmooney.bsky.social hasn’t already said, but I was shocked to see a childhood toy pop up in the show. Now I know his official name is Stretch and not Ostrichy 1/2

The Beanie Baby ostrich known as Stretch; came out before the bubble burst for that toyline.

In Peacemaker Season 2 episode 6, “Ignorance is Chris”, Adrian Chase AKA Vigilante has a number of these in his collection. Saying it’s the best one.

Also worth noting: it may not seem like much unless you’re a nerd like me, but making one of your characters‘ favorite Pokémon Infernape, a Generation 4 Pokémon no less, is such an inspired choice that it makes irrationally annoyed at other media’s Pokémon name drops. 2/2

I just reread Golem Pit 224 by @ohmyghoulia.bsky.social and it’s a great graphic novel to read this (or any) month. The emotional and physical quagmires these characters get into makes this book wonderfully weird. I love the tone set by the amorphous panels and earthy coloring as well. Check it out!
