Ah brilliant, Onslaught turned out just how I'd hoped. Like Motormaster, he actually had the extra carriage to make it so his combiner kibble is integrated into his traditional form and not wodge of extraneous parts he has to tow around like Silverbolt and Long Haul.

Animation studios started dissolving layout jobs in the 2000s, and now we've gotten to a point that 2000s babies think that storyboards /are/ layout, and won't accept anything except the most elaborate animatics possible

Between Tiny Toons, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Animaniacs, etc., it was obvious almost immediately when something was animated by TMS. Like, it wasn't even close.

It was especially jarring with Animaniacs where you'd go from an episode/segment done by another studio, to the Wheel of Morality

More than one person has told me Starscream only kills humans off panel, but you can Google “Skybound Transformers human deaths” and see incredibly violet panels of Starscream squishing humans in his hands.

I feel like the show's gonna be more of it's own thing rather than trying to specifically adapt issues of the comic
considering it's building up to a big G.I Joe crossover, I feel like the payoff is seeing it unfold as a TV show, but I don't know for sure
