I've always had kinda a hard time communicating my love for eyepatches, and even more so my desire to wear one even though I have no medical reason.

For a long long time I used to avoid giving characters eyepatches because people close to me that I respected told me they were ugly.
If eyes are a window into the soul then an eyepatch is like a locked door hiding a character's deep empathy in plain sight. These days I think they're very beautiful!

It was unintentional, but National Coming Out day ended up being my Transiversary. 😊
I don't really know what I'd want to say besides, it didn't magically solve all my problems, but I genuinely doubt I'd still be here if I hadn't come out.
