Whenever the headline says a "Nobel-Prize winning economist" is weighing in on a topic that you don’t remember any economist winning the Nobel Prize for or really any economist who has won one ever doing serious research on that topic at all it’s always *always* Daron Acemoglu

Which means the interest will be way higher! Just like with our AAA-rated Eurobonds priced at BBB interest rates because the repayment plan is sketchy as heck (hope that years later countries will voluntarily cough up the money). For some reason the market don‘t like these ploys - look at DB-bonds

I had a debate on here with a poster who said we shouldn’t down Russian incursions because our interceptors might fall down on us if they miss. When I pointed out that we can easily mitigate this they countered it would still be really noisy and might disrupt sleep… German debate is something else

The quality of propaganda pics made by German DoD has improved remarkably with the recent leadership changes. More weapons systems, more elaborate staging, cooler poses…

Also, finally a German general who seems to still hit the gym and doesn’t look like he smells of day-old beef stew and accounting

I'll admit, I was skeptical when they said Gemini was just like a bunch of PhDs. But I gotta admit they nailed it.
Google's Gemini AI tells a Redditor it's 'cautiously optimistic' about fixing a coding bug, fails repeatedly, calls itself an embarrassment to 'all possible and impossible universes' before repeating 'I am a disgrace' 86 times in succession
