Strong turnout at The College Democrats at The Citadel’s town hall earlier this week!

I was joined by State Sen. Ed Sutton and CDR Jake Cass, USCG (Ret.), for a great discussion that ranged from national security to local flooding and everything in between.
Call your public officials who are making things worse. Demand that they tone down the rhetoric. Then make a plan to vote them out.
Trump’s Government Shutdown
Free speech is the foundation of America. Trump's attempts to undermine it should alarm every American — no matter your politics.
As we enter Rosh Hashanah, I want to honor the Jewish community in our district. This is a time to reflect on the past year and look ahead with hope and renewal.

Wishing everyone celebrating a sweet and meaningful new year. Shanah Tovah!
Let's talk about Trump's tariffs
Talking to real people, that’s how we make change. If you’ve felt left behind from past Democratic and Republican campaigns, I can promise you this — I’m not leaving anyone behind.

It’s time we go after the systems that profit off violence instead of protecting our communities. The Lowcountry deserves leaders who will put public safety above corporate profits.
At a virtual meeting with Dorchester Democrats, I spoke about how tech companies profit from the scourge of political and gun violence. The Communications Decency Act shields them from accountability, while their platforms fuel pipelines of extremism.

On Hilton Head, I worked with a conservative-leaning town council to launch their first workforce housing project so teachers, police officers, and service workers could live where they work.

Thanks WCBD News 2 for having me on to discuss affordable housing in the Lowcountry.

Nancy Mace isn’t just unfit — she’s dangerous. Her reckless words fuel hate and violence, and she has no place in public office.
Nancy Mace taking credit for infrastructure investments that she voted against is like not chipping in for pizza and taking the first slice.

As Congressman, I'll always fight to strengthen our roads, bridges, and ports. The Lowcountry deserves better.
My opponents have said they’re going to Washington to serve Trump.

I’m going to Washington to serve the people of the Lowcountry.
Today we honor the first responders who rushed toward danger, the servicemembers who answered the call, and the families who endured unimaginable loss with strength and resilience. On this anniversary, let's come together to remember, to honor, and to serve. We will never forget.
I’m horrified by the news about Charlie Kirk. My heart is with him, his family, and the students who witnessed this tragedy. Political and gun violence have no place in our country. We may have disagreements, but we can all agree we can’t allow violence to settle our differences.
On Hilton Head Island, I worked with a conservative-leaning town council to launch their first workforce housing project so teachers, police officers, and service workers could live where they work.

Appreciate WCBD for having me on to share how I’ll fight for affordable housing in the Lowcountry.
