Family-accompanied travel isn’t a rort, but we should crack down on politicians’ travel expenses. Let’s start by banning all travel not necessary for their work, @keanebernard.bsky.social writes.
Don't beat up on politicians' families — end the free ride of 'work' travel instead

Justice system fails women, by protecting a guilty rich rapist’s identity. This decision reinforces the belief that male reputations deserve special legal immunity, that his potential matters more than a women’s safety and reputation.

When our courts and media protect the powerful, women pay a devastating price
Our courts tell women that when we seek justice, we should be prepared to fight not only the men who harmed us but the systems that protect them.

Unfortunately, for Goldstein constituents,
Tim Wilson deflects responsibility by skirting over the intimidating and disgusting behaviour by himself, Jewish lobby groups and his LNP volunteers.
I agree, however, I believe this behaviour reaches across the entire political spectrum and that includes the public service.

There was a good item on RN this morning. They did a comparative analysis across politicians, and Wells is not even in the top 10 who spend big on travel/family travel and com cars. So yes, they all spend too much, but looks like Wells is being targeted.

Tim Wilson is a grotesque interloper: his behaviour and attitudes are emblematic of the LNP sense of entitlement
He believes he’s untouchable,no matter the underhanded tactics he’s employed to be elected. Covering his ineptitude by smearing and attempting to silence a constituent legitimate concerns
All Wilson cares about is getting the wages of an MP, the only job he could possibly get. An unemployable piece of human garbage.
Bit late sharing, but the fact someone can win an election this way is both blood boiling and chilling.

Daniel volunteers were shouted at, spat on and stalked. They were told by police to travel in groups. I couldn't get it all in here.

And Wilson shows no remorse

'There are still people recovering from the trauma': The Goldstein campaign was worse than we thought
While the 2025 federal election inquiry has shown there was a clear rise in hostility at election booths around the country, Tim Wilson's electorate of Goldstein seems to have reached another level.

Tim Wilson campaigned on one issue - not even an Australian issue to benefit voters in Goldstein

He campaigned FOR GENOCIDE using the LNP IPA logo

And GOLDSTEIN voters re-introduced into our Parliament the resulting "values, and ethics" related to GENOCIDE

This is really bad!
First - it seems some kind of monitoring and/or database is being kept on community independent volunteers - and then there's the refusal to serve a constituent based on their political views.

David Rowe depicts Susan Ley & LNP’s climate vandalism, which has become a habit, they’re comforting themselves with the false knowledge that climate change does not exist. Believing the end justifies the means, no matter the damage to the environment.

Labor's deal with the Greens means farmers in QLD . . . that agricultural land will for the first time be covered by federal environmental law.

They will need an Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) assessment and approval.

Sussan Ley’s heading up the climate denial creek without a paddle.
Her failed attempts at reframing over her lack of leadership on the environment policy. Provides her with no protection from LNP’s bunch of far right of climate denying crackpots
Opinion | Many of the Liberal Party's problems are the product of self-harm. But it has also fallen victim to changes on the centre-left of politics that can be traced back to the 1980s, writes Frank Bongiorno.
The Liberal crisis runs deep — Labor’s embrace of small-c conservativism partly explains why
To talk of 'the centre' seems less meaningful than recognising that Labor has embraced the conservative pragmatism that was once seen as the special property of the Liberal Party.

Jacquie Thomson was brutally attacked and then misidentified as the aggressor. She's working to hold police accountable
Jacquie Thomson is one of a large number of women who police continue to misidentify as primary aggressors instead of as victim/survivors.
