With wireless disabled it uses the cable for comms back to the HomeLink but it can use wireless (as if on USB power).
At 12V, it draws 25mA standby, 90mA screen on and an extra ~20mA for radio activity.

I'm after a battery powered device that records GPX files (or similar) from a GPS module to an SD card. No cellular, etc, just simple local recording.
Ideally a commercial product, not a bare PCB.

Looks to be related to the RF I/O board B. The radio is also deaf as a post, but seems to TX okay. Hmm.
