If anyone blew up the East Wing of the White House, they would be called a terrorist and prosecuted. Trump is basically a domestic terrorist who has blown up the East Wing. This is not an official duty. He is not authorized to do that. He should not be immune from prosecution.

I know that the White House demolition is a big distraction so we won’t watch what else Trump is or isn’t doing. I know that it’s also a big F-U to the No Kings protesters. But we really ought to do something to oppose this. Start a Go Fund Me account to hire an attorney. File an injunction. 1/

He certainly needed permits and I can’t imagine they were that easy to get. Although he has stacked all the agencies with his people so maybe he does have permits. I just can’t imagine him caring about permits. He’s president and has immunity so he can do anything.

This is no excuse for tearing down the building without permission. He is required to get a permit since it is a National Historic Site. He probably needs a DC building permit for the ballroom. Does he have either? I seriously doubt it.

First it was the Rose Garden and now it’s the East Wing. During the four years I worked at the WH it was a thrill and an honor to take my family and friends on private tours of the “People’s House .” This is just heartbreaking.
